Red Dead John Marston Cosplay Makeup Video
To finish my little tribute to this amazing videogame, here is the video tutorial of John Marston makeup, the main character of “Red Dead Redemption”.
List of products I used in the video:
- Hair beard “Crepe Hair” from Mehron: Ebay site.
- To stick the beard, “Spirit Gum” from Mehron: Ebay site.
- To remove the glue of the beard, “Spirit Gum Remover” from Mehron: Ebay site.
- For the scars, “Rigid Collodion” from Mehron: Ebay site.
Then I will explain how I made some outfit details:

Para finalizar mi humilde homenaje a este gran videojuego, aquí os dejo el vídeo tutorial del maquillaje de John Marston, personaje protagonista del juego “Red Dead Redepmtion”.
Os dejo la lista de productos que he utilizado y dónde podéis comprarlo:

- Para pegar la barba, “Spirit Gum” de Mehron: Tienda en Ebay.
- Para eliminar el pegamento de la barba, “Spirit Gum Remover” de Mehron: Tienda en Ebay.
- Para las cicatrices, “Rigid Collodion” de Mehron: Tienda en Ebay.
Y a continuación os explico como realicé algunos detalles del outfit:
Cosplay Tutorial
| We will not do something totally professional, because this is just for a photo shoot or video just like mine. So to make the hat belt, we only need washers (I bought them in a Chinese Bazaar), and a black ribbon.
No vamos a hacer algo totalmente profesional, ya que tan solo es para un maquillaje para una sesión de fotos/vídeo. Así que para hacer la correa del sombrero nos va a bastar unas arandelas (compradas en un Bazar Chino cualquiera) y una cinta negra. |
| With a special textile glue (I used “Textil Ceys”), paste the washers over the ribbon.
Con pegamento especial para tejidos (aquí utilizo el Textil Ceys), pega las arandelas sobre la cinta. Mientras no les metas mucho tute no tienen por qué caerse. |
| I bought this little bag with feathers in other Chinese Bazaar of my town.
Compré esta bolsita con varias plumas en otro Bazar Chino de mi ciudad. |
| To make the correct size, cut the feather with common scissors.
Para adecuar el tamaño, simplemente recorta la pluma con unas tijeras comunes. |
| Let’s paint the feather with markers.
Vamos a pintar la punta de la pluma con rotuladores. |
| First paint a base with brown, then paint a layer with black.
Primero pinto una base con color marrón, luego le daremos una capa de negro por encima. |
| I used “Crepe Hair” for the beard. There are some tutorials on YouTube with some different techniques to apply the hair.
Para la barba he utilizado este producto llamado “Crepe Hair”. En YouTube hay algunos tutoriales con distintas técnicas para aplicarlo. |
| I chose to cut small pieces of hair, and put it in my face with a strainer. You can understand what I’m talking if you watch my video tutorial ?.
Yo me decanté por cortarlo a trocitos muuuuuuy pequeños, coger un colador e ir echándolo sobre la cara, esta técnica es cosecha propia, aunque cualquier otra te puede valer. Si veis mi vídeo se entenderá mucho mejor xD |
